Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Virunga national park.
Upon arrival, you will be picked up from the airport optional from the Hotel if you are already in the county. Possibly you will have a short Kigali city because it is relatively small and all the prominent places are mostly accessible. During your city tour, you will visit the genocide memorial sites, Kandt Museum house, main city market, and craft shops. You will then proceed to exit Kigali town to Goma border via the beautiful views of the countryside, you have lunch en-route in lake Kivu and later to the Migration office for clearing, remember to have your covid results, yellow fever card, passport, and already processed entry Visa. Once you cross the border you will drive straight to your Lodge in Virunga National Park for your dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Hiking Nyirangongo
You are required to wake up and have your early morning breakfast, prepare and pack all the necessary basics you will need at the summit. Drive to Kibati village and you will be handed over to the park team as you wait for briefing and registration. You will meet many other hikers at the starting point. At this point, you should consider hiring a porter in case you need one to carry your luggage and a hand where the hike gets strenuous.
The time duration for hiking to reach the summit depends on the speed of the group, there you need practice before in case you are not an avid hiker. As you head towards the volcano, you will notice that the lower slopes are full of lush green rainforest which are home is home to small primates, mammals, birds, expect to see some such as chimpanzees, monkeys. Also, you will begin to notice changes in vegetation cover as there is less vegetation. 3 Days Hike Nyirangongo, Much of the vegetation is usually destroyed when the volcanic mountain erupts. Day 3: Descend the Nyirangongo volcano and Departure.
Wake up early for a quick cup breakfast and by 8 am you Descend the Volcano Mountain. You will now have views of the surrounding Virunga ranges, Lake Kivu, Rwenzori mountains, Kahunzi Beige National Park among others. Once you reach the base, you will be transferred to the Congo Rwanda border crossing. Check in at Migration again pay you for your entry visa into Rwanda and start off your Journey to Kigali city. Optional city tour if you missed on day one. Drop off at the Hotel or airport for departure. End of Hike
